Platano Labs LLC ("Platano Labs," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Platano Labs collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use the Ritmo mobile application.
Ritmo is designed as a local-first application. All personal data you enter, including your goals, check-ins, notes, and preferences, is stored locally on your device. Platano Labs does not have access to this information, and it is never transmitted to our servers.
Platano Labs may collect limited technical information to improve app performance, including crash reports, device type, operating system version, and app version. This data does not include your personal content.
Ritmo displays advertisements through Google AdMob. When you first use the app, you will be asked about tracking preferences through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. For users in the EU, you will also see a consent dialog from Google asking about your advertising preferences.
You can change your tracking preference at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. For more information about how Google handles your data, visit Google's Privacy Policy.
Platano Labs uses Sentry for crash reporting, error tracking, and performance monitoring. Sentry collects anonymous technical data to help improve app stability and performance, including:
No personally identifiable information or habit data is collected. If you choose to submit feedback, you may optionally attach screenshots from your photo library. For more information, visit Sentry's Privacy Policy.
Your app data is automatically backed up to your personal iCloud account. This data is encrypted and managed according to Apple's privacy practices. Platano Labs does not have access to your iCloud data. You can manage or delete this data through your iCloud settings on your device.
Purchases made within the app are processed by Apple. Platano Labs does not collect or store your payment information. For details on how Apple handles your data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Your personal habit data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud backup. Platano Labs employs industry-standard security practices to protect any diagnostic data received. Since your content is stored locally, you maintain full control over your data at all times.

Ritmo is not directed at children under 13 years of age. Platano Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe Platano Labs has inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so it can be promptly removed.

If you are a California resident, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Since Ritmo stores your data locally and does not sell personal information, most CCPA provisions do not apply. However, you retain full control over your data and can delete it at any time by removing the app. You may also opt out of personalized advertising as described in Section 4.
Ritmo is available internationally. If you access the app from outside the United States, please be aware that any diagnostic information collected may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.
For users in the European Union, European Economic Area, and United Kingdom, we process your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable UK data protection laws.
Under GDPR and UK data protection laws, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. Since Ritmo stores data locally on your device, you maintain direct control over your information and can export it at any time to iCloud through the app.
You may withdraw advertising consent at any time via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. EU users may also manage their preferences through the Google consent dialog. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Crash reports and diagnostic data are retained for up to 90 days to allow for debugging and analysis. After this period, the data is automatically deleted. Your local app data is retained on your device until you delete the app or clear its data.
